The book explores what sex meant for ordinary people before the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s through a series of extraordinarily frank interviews. It has received widespread praise in the media, and was selected as a Guardian book of the week.<br> <br> The panel for the 2011 Prize is chaired by author and Times journalist Ben Macintyre, the panel consists of Prospect s editor David Goodhart; journalist and author Sam Leith; prize-winning biographer Brenda Maddox; and best-selling historian, writer and broadcaster Amanda Vickery.
